“Fakat Müzeyyen Bu Derin Bir Tutku (But Müzeyyen, This is a Deep Passion)” is Turkish romantic drama that premiered in 2014 and is directed by Çiğdem Vitrinel. This film is based on the novella by the same name by İlhami Algör, and it is known for its poetic presentational of love, relationship and quest for oneself.
Synopsis
It is about Arif (played by Erdal Beşikçioğlu), a writer in crisis with love and life itself now trying to reconcile his expectations from relationships with the reality of them. Arif’s perspective on relationships gets shattered all the more when he meets the mysterious Müzeyyen (played by Sezin Akbaşoğulları). Müzeyyen’s restless and wild personality forces Arif to rethink love and intimacy and his creative essence.
There times of closeness, and deep understanding and also moments of tension and reconciliation of utmost alienation and reality of their love.
