There is a Turkish drama that explores the themes of faith, community, and personal growth in the countryside of Turkey. The film is directed by Barış Pirhasan and is titled Adam and the Devil or in Turkish Occor Ademin Trenleri. It was released in 2007.

The events take place in the holy month of Ramadan; an imam, Hasan, who comes from the community of people alongside his wife Hacer and daughter Fatma is coming from the Syrian countryside in order to help with the work of the prayers. His task is to command heads and teach local kids the Quran. He is also a strange perpetrator of acts towards his spouse and the people from the neighborhood which leads to speculations and conversations. After that, Hasan becomes a figure of great interest for one of the station master’s sons who tries to learn Hasat as if it is faith in god, however, everyone realizes it is the final link to insanity.
